Julius Kiplagat is a seasoned Senior Wildlife Crime Investigation Officer with over two decades of
hands-on experience in law enforcement, conservation, intelligence, investigations, and
prosecutions.
His deep understanding of wildlife crime and conservation has positioned him as a highly
competent and resourceful professional in protecting biodiversity and upholding the rule of
law in environmental matters.
During his illustrious career with the Kenya Wildlife Service, He has successfully taken
on diverse leadership and administrative roles across various stations in the country.
His ability to navigate complex challenges in conservation and wildlife crime investigation
has been pivotal in driving impactful results. His extensive exposure to diverse
environments, people, and communities has molded him into a well-rounded professional adept
at fostering partnerships and promoting sustainable conservation practices.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Security Studies from Egerton University,
a Diploma in Forensic and Criminal Investigation from the Kenya Institute of Criminal
Justice,
and a Diploma in Wildlife Management from the Wildlife Research Training Institute in
Naivasha.
With his wealth of expertise, He is a driving force in combating wildlife crime,
ensuring the integrity of ecosystems, and contributing to the preservation of Kenya's
rich natural heritage.
